Frequently Asked Questions

  • The cleaning solution needed is dependent on the type of contaminant needing to be cleaned. Our I-305 Ultrasonic Cleaner is the most common cleaning solution, used for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. The I-305 liquid cleaner is specifically designed to remove oil and grease from surfaces. To ensure you are selecting the correct solution, contact us.

  • In general, 40 kHz is the best all-around frequency for Ultrasonic part cleaners. For heavy-duty applications with heavy debris buildup, 20-30 kHz is best; for delicate, precise cleaning, 80-170+ kHz is recommended.

  • Generally, metals such as Gold, platinum, and stainless steel, and hard gemstones such as diamond and sapphires are the most suitable candidates for ultrasonic cleaning. Softer or weaker gemstones or metals are at risk of damage from the high-frequency waves used for cleaning.

  • It is often best to replace the ultrasonic solution every 8-24 hours of use. You will know when to change the solution when it becomes cloudy or when you notice a drop in performance.

  • Although our cleaning solution is eco-friendly, dirty/ used ultrasonic cleaning solution must be treated as hazardous waste. Contain all solutions in a sealed container, and bring the waste solution to a Household Hazardous Waste location.
